Description
An Art Deco yellow Bakelite nail set. It has 4 tools that go inside a yellow Bakelite box. The lid of the box twists 90 degrees to reveal the holes that the 4 pieces sit inside. (Please see all the photos). It measures about 3 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches. The top only turns one way – best not to try turning it the other way. There is some surface wear to the box – as it has to lie on a flat surface this is to be expected. On the top – the piece that the top swivels on has a tiny piece missing (see picture) but this might always have been there – it is an unlikely place for a damage to occur. The rod/pin that the top swivels on does shows through the Bakelite to the outside as a dark mark – but there is no damage. An unusual piece.
