Description
This is a Yardley’s gold tone compact for pressed powder with a Bee and ?pollen. It was for Feather-Pressed Powder. Wikipedia says that “Yardley is one of the oldest firms in the world to specialise in cosmetics, fragrances and related toilet products.” It was established in 1770. The compact is in quite good condition. There is one very small scratch – visible on the photo – on the front – and a tiny indentation on the back. There is a cream pouch but that has been well used! It measures approx. 3 1/4 inches diameter.
