DESCRIPTION: A pair of vintage clip earrings consisting of fruits, leaves, flowers in pastel colours.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: These delicate earrings have assorted leaves, flowers, fruits in a variety of colours. Each piece goes through holes in a domed metal piece. This is fixed to the clip fitting at the back. It is amazing that all the pieces seem to have survived! I am assured that they are made of a mixture of plaster and gelatine. I originally thought some of the pieces were glass! Difficult to get the colours accurate. It is marked Western Germany – which would date the earrings to between 1949-1990. They look very 1950s to me.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The earrings measure about 1 1/2 inches square. The metalwork has darkened and is a gold tone colour. The clips work well. The pieces are in very good condition.
