DESCRIPTION: This is a pair of vintage spider and fly earrings for pierced ears. They are on a gold tone metal.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This pair of earrings have come from a shop that opened around 1900 and closed in 1972. The stock was made up in the shop. This pair of earring has lever backed tops – which could be from any period before 1972. The aurora borealis stones have to be from the 1950s onwards. Not sure of the date of the spider and fly! They are made of brass but I think have been gold painted. I have a large stock from this source and will add items as I can!
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is unused but aged. They measure 2 1/2 inches top to bottom. The earrings drop is about 1 5/8ths.
