Description
This is a vintage black material and diamante glass stones evening bag – date unknown – probably around the 1950s but could be a bit later. The black loosely woven material has diamante stones that are supported in a gold tone surround that has prongs going through the material to the back. All the stones are present. The lining is black satin. The small pocket is edged with gold tone coloured trim. The inside is in very good condition – as is the outside. The gold tone chain does show a little discolouration in the middle where it was probably carried. The frame is gold tone and in good condition. Two small faux pearls are used to decorate the clasp part of the frame. The bottom of the bag measures about 7 1/2 inches and the top about 6 inches. The depth is about 5 inches and the chain is about 11 inches.
