Description
This is a pair of Sobral cat earrings – known as Bichos line – Gato. Carlos Sobral has been making colourful resin jewellery in Brazil since around the 1980s. He aims to be a ‘green’ company and uses recyled materials when possible. His work is hand crafted in Rio de Janeiro. He apparently treats his many workers well and I like buying from such an ethical company. These earrings are made of a multi striped resin and have clip tops. They are signed on one leg of the pair of earrings (please see photo). I cannot find this pair of earrings on the current Sobral web site. They are such fun – especially for cat lovers. They measure approx 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
