DESCRIPTION: A set of vintage men’s detatachable mother of pearl shirt buttons in red box. They have small red diamante stones in the centre. each button has metal ring to affix.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Probably vintage but possibly antique – this set of six shirt button is in a fitted box. The mother of pearl buttons have a small red diamante centre. They would probably also fit a waistcoat with small button holes. At the time buttons had to be removed for the shirt to be washed as there were no spin dryers at the time and the items were put through a roller – which would have ruined the buttons! The back of the button was put through the button hole in the shirt and the rings affixed at the back.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: Diameter of button is 1/2 inch. Box is about 5 x 1 1/2 inches. Condition good vintage. Box has small mark on top.
