DESCRIPTION: A large, vintage, Sardi brooch in gold tone, back enamel and diamante glass stones.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Looked on Sardi web site for more information but it has disappeared. shame – because they were a British firm and so many have closed down. Maybe they are not longer operating. Sardi have always been famous for their large animal/bird brooches. This one is large! It is in black enamel on a gold tone metal. It has a diamante face and legs and a black stone eye. I have bought a number of Sardi items from a dealer who has had them hidden away for a long time. I presume they are vintage but not sure of the date – probably 1980s.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It is in unworn condition. It measures across about 3 1/4 inches. The clasp works well.
