Description
DESCRIPTION: A Pierre Cardin gold tone, diamante and faux pearls pendant necklace and stud earrings set in original boxes.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pierre Cardin was born in Italy in 1922 and died in France in 2020. He was known for his avant guard style and his space age designs in the 1960/70s. He also made more commercial jewellery – such as this small set – which is very wearable. The set is in the original velvety black box – which then goes inside a cardboard box.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The jewellery itself is in very good condition. The inner box has a little wear on a corner. The outer box is not in such good condition. It has a lot of wear to one side. It is good nevertheless to have the complete original containers. The pendant chain is about 18 inches and the actual pearl pieces are about 3/4 of an inch. The backs are lightly patterned. The end tag is marked ’18KGP’ ie 18 carat gold plate.
