Description
A pair of c1950s hat pins. They have a long, shaped faux pearl top and a white metal pin. An unusual shape. Coiled round the pearl is a piece of gilt decoration. After this period hats needing hat pins went out of fashion leaving suppliers with stock that was no longer wanted. They could be old stock from somewhere – I don’t think they have been used. I have a good selection of single hat pins from this era in my shop at Alfies Antiques but it is good to get a pair. If you are only wanting one similar I could send a photo of what I have – or I would separate if necessary. They measure about 7 inches in length – the pearl part on its own measures about 3 1/2 inches.
