DESCRIPTION: An antique Japanese Noritaki hat pin holder/stand – the early 1920s design ‘House by the lake’ – a country scene with cobalt blue decoration around the top.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This Noritaki hat pin stand is marked on the bottom with a early 20s mark – the blue Komaru symbol. A similar design was the ‘Tree in the Meadow’ and both patterns pattern were made in a variety of items. Around the top is a cobalt blue string/lined decoration and some dots. The gilding has more or less disappeared from this.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is overall good for the age except for the rubbing on the cobalt blue section that would have have had some light gilding. It is marked on the bottom with the blue Komaru symbol. All these details can be looked up on the internet. It measures about 4 3/4 inches in height, 3 inches at the bottom and 1 1/2 inches at the top.
