Description
DESCRIPTION: A Max Neiger, vintage Czech. brooch, from around the 1930’s. Green glass beads attached to a frame with wire.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a Max Neiger brooch from around the 1930s. Made in Czech. It has a central, mottled green glass oval stone in the middle of the brass, filigree backing piece. Round the edge it has funnel shaped filigree pieces with 5 tiny green glass beads. (Looks like small wrapped bouquets of flowers). The small beads are each attached to a wire that goes down though the funnel and fixes on the inside. As with most of the Neiger pieces it is very well made with lots of small details. It will soon be 100 years old and it is amazing it is still in such good condition. If you are unfamiliar with the Neiger brothers’ work please read my Manufacturers My Notes in my blog section.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is good. It measures approx 2 1/4 x 2 inches.
