DESCRIPTION: A Monet gold tone necklace. Date unknown. Thin, patterned and flexible. Marked on catch.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: These were very popular in the 1970s – when Monet made chain necklaces of every sort. However this one is made later. The mark on the back of the clasp was introduced in the 1990s. It is joined up script – which was not used until then. It may or may not be vintage as I cannot find any information about marks after the 1990s. It could be used to hang things on.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It is in very good condition. It measures about 16 1/2 x 1/4 inches. The mark is on the back of the clasp.
