Description

DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage, wide, Mexican silver bracelet from the Icuala region. 3 large panels with a creature in the middle and 3 slim panels in between.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I think this is probably from around the middle of the 20th century. It has the mark for Icuala – sometime spelt Iguala. It has the older style of marks i.e. before 1979. It has 3 large panels with a many legged creature in the middle. These are separated by three slim panels with 1/2 balls and chain decoration. It has a Made in Mexico mark. The maker’s initials are I think MBR – please see picture. In the push in part it is marked with a 2 inside the bell. As it does not have a mark recognised in the U.K. I cannot sell this as Sterling Silver.

MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It is in good condition for the age. The push in clasp works well. It is about 7 x 1 1/2 inches and the weight is about 44 grams.
