Description
This is a large, vintage mauve & Diamante glass stones brooch I have not been able to find anything quite like it to get a definite attribution as to date or place of origin. The roll over clasp was invented earlier but not widely used until the 1960s apparently. The brooch – to me – looks earlier than this. Neither am I sure of the country of origin. Maybe Czech but not sure of this either. Anyway I have fallen in love with it because of the beauty of the mauve stones with the diamante. The flower with a centre multifaceted stone – etc. It has aged but it is still in good condition. The metal is a gold wash over brass. It measures 3 inches across. It can be worn in two different angles – as shown in the pictures.
