Description
This is a 1920/30s period filigree belt buckle in three parts – two joined together. The elaborate filigree metal work is silvered on brass. There are two largish emerald green square faceted glass stones and the rest of the coloured glass stones are small flat backs – as was so often the case in the earlier Czech. filigree pieces. It is made up of three parts – two of them are joined together and fit onto the third piece (see picture of the back). A very ornate piece of work! All the glass stones are in place and look original. Can easily be made into a belt or sewn on to an accessory. The only mark is ‘No79’ – no help at all! It is in good condition for the age of the buckle. It measures about 4 x 2 inches.
