DESCRIPTION: A Kordes & Lichtenfels silver enamel vintage brooch. The pattern is in black with random pieces of patterned silvery and white shapes.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: My picture does not do this brooch justice. The blotches of silver and white on the black background just would not photograph satisfactorily! The brooch is quite small but beautifully made. Kordes & Lichtenfels were a German firm who made between 1884 and 2004. This brooch looks as if it was made mid 19th century – when lots of interesting enamels were made – but I have no information to support this. It is marked on the back ‘Sterling Silver K & L’.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is good. It is quite small – measuring about 2 inches across.
