DESCRIPTION: A long scimitar shaped brooch made in the 1940s to celebrate the Korda film ‘The Thief of Bagdad’. Gold tone, faux pearls and thin coloured diamante stones.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This scimitar shaped, vintage brooch was made by Rice and Weiner & Co of New England in the 1940s under licence to United Artists – the U.S. distributor for the film ‘The Thief of Bagdad’ According to Wikipedia it was a 1940s British Technicolour historical fantasy film released in the U.S. and the U.K. by United Artists. It is made of a gilt metal with small balls right the way round. There are floral set faux pearls and thin diamante stones.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It is in good condition. It measures about 4 1/4 inches in length. Marked on back – ‘3 Thief of Bagdad Korda 6’
