Description
This is a Houbigant vintage rouge box – probably from C1930s. It has the usual Houbigant flower basket on the front. The back is marked with – Nuance No. 7 – which is, I presume, the colour of the rouge. When researching Houbigant I found out that the firm had been making perfume from 1775! The basket of flowers stretches back to when Jean-Frances Houbigant opened his shop in Paris and had a hand painted sign of a basket of flowers. (see www.houbigant-parfum.com) It has not been used and is in good condition. The cellophane cover is inside. There is one little nick to the actual rouge (see photo). The rouge is sitting on a small (glass I think) base. It measures just under 2 inches across. Please see all the photos.
