Description
The cicada pendant/locket was made by Fossil – a large American company selling a wide range of items including fashion, watches and jewellery. They have a few outlets in the U.K. They were founded in 1984. However I have no idea what date this locket is. I have not been able to find anything like it on their website or anywhere on the internet. I am including it a vintage but it might not be. The pendant/locket is on white metal and is quite large/heavy. It has a cicada on the front with faux mother of pearl body and diamante glass stones. It is quite ornate and is patterned on the back. It opens and photos could be put inside – but there is no mechanism for keeping them in place. It has a double chain – with white metal beads – and a bar catch with a blue stone either end. The locket measures approx. 2 x 1 1/2 inches and the chain is about 17 1/2 inches.
