Description
An Evans diamante & gold tone carryall, compact and cigarette bag. Evans were famous for compacts and especially carryalls. This Evans carryall would have been made in the 1950s. The front panel is covered with oval diamante stones in the shape of flowers. The stones are in good condition. The back has a pattern of lines – as do the sides. The inside has a pattern of squares. The Evans logo is on the lid of the powder compact. It is a dual access carryall with a flexible snake chain to carry. One side has a compact, a space for a lipstick and a space for a puff etc. It has a small comb which might not be original. A white metal panel swings over the reveal the other side that takes the cigarettes. (It is also dual opening so either side can be opened from the outside). This also acts as a mirror. The bag is in very good condition except for a small mark on the white metal panel – on the cigarettes side. This looks worse in the photo than it does in real life. (photos show every little flaw!) It measures nearly 5 1/2 inches one way and just over 3 inches the other. It is 1 inch deep.
