Description
DESCRIPTION: A pair of Escada gold tone and faux pearl clips. They are quite large and consist of a twisted gold tone surround with a faux half pearl in the middle. On the back is a plaque with the name Escada and a copyright ‘c’ symbol.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Escada started in 1978 and the business ideal was “Democratization of elite haute couture” There is a section on the official site where it gives the history of the company. Am not sure of the date but from the style and size believe they are probably 1980s – and therefore vintage. I have looked on Google and there are several pairs of large, gold tone and pearl earrings but nobody seems to mention dates.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is good. The gold tone metal is as it should be and the pearl undamaged. They are very large – being about two inches across. The half pearl measures about 3/4 inch. The clip fitting is a large one to support the weight and work well.
