Description
DESCRIPTION: A vintage, diamante, double dress clip brooch with glass baguette stones. Comes apart into two dress clips. This one is, I think, from the 1930/40s period.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Double dress clip brooches were very popular between about 1920-1950 – then dress clips disappeared! They could be worn as a brooch, a pair of dress clips or singly. They unclip from the support. One could also be worn on a chain round the neck. They look good on a square neck or put into a button hole or a lapel on a jacket. They are just so versatile.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: All the stones are present – and are white – the light is shining on a stone in one of the pictures and making it look yellow! The clips sit o.k. on the metal support and this set is relatively easy to take apart – unlike some sets! The roll over clap is O.K. It measures about 2 x 1 1/2 inches.
