Description
This is a diamante and faux pearl gold tone vintage compact. It has no maker’s name – which is a shame for a collector. It is similar to Wiesner of Miami’s work around the 1950s. On the outside there is a row of rectangular diamante stones, claw set. These do show some signs of age. Inside that there are some smaller, round diamante stones – also claw set. The central panel is a piece of pearlised ?plastic with more claw set diamante. It opens with a push in piece. The back is plain gold tone. There is one very small black dot. Inside the gold tone is in good condition. The mirror has a small 4/5ths inch scratch – but is otherwise in good condition. No age spotting. The inside is also in good condition. The puff, however, does show signs of having been used. I have included a black pouch – which is not original. The picture does not do it justice – it is a great looking compact.
