Description
DESCRIPTION: A short, Czech. 1930s vintage necklace with a moulded, deep blue glass plaque hanging from alternating clear blue glass and cylindrical deep blue glass beads. The metal work is gold tone on brass.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This necklace is typical Czech. from the 1930s period. The deep blue cylindrical beads are made of the same blue glass as the bottom plaque and they have bead caps top and bottom. The light blue clear beads are the same glass as the piece above the plaque. The moulded plaque has flowers, leaves and a ribbon pattern. The light blue piece looks as if it is three separate pieces – but it is just one piece. The glass pieces are claw set on a metal frame.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The necklace is in overall good condition for the age. There is a very tiny scratch to the clear glass piece. The spring clasp works well. It is quite short at approx. 16 inches in length. The deep blue plaque is about 1 1/8th x 3/4 inches.
