Description
DESCRIPTION: A small vintage Attwood and Sawyer snake brooch -diamante, gold tone and black enamel.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Attwood and Sawyer was established in 1956 in Wales. They made very good quality jewellery that was sold at Airports and Jewellery Shops. They went out of business around the turn of the century. Please see my notes on this company in my blog – ‘My Notes on Manufacturers’. The usual snake brooch seen on Google is coiled. This twisted version is a more unusual design.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It is in good condition. All the diamante stones are present and the catch works well. It measures about a 3/4 inches top to bottom. It was difficult to photograph the mark but it is there!
