Description
This is an Art Deco metal and enamel belt buckle. It is in two pieces. There is a bar on the back of one piece that a hook on the other piece fits into. It is quite small – being about 1 7/8ths inches wide. The central part of each piece is in a deep red with a coil type decoration. There is an orange/yellow section with a zig zag pattern and a plain black piece. It is in good condition. The metal looks like brass but is not discoloured so maybe coated. The width of the material needed to make a belt is about 1/2 an inch. Of course it could also be used for other purposes – such an a multistrand necklace clasp etc.
