DESCRIPTION: This is a Butler & Wilson carnival diamante stones snake brooch – not currently in production – date unknown.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Butler & Wilson is one of the most famous of the British costume jewellery firms. Have been in business for over 40 years. The brooch is not currently in production but I do not know the date. It is on white metal and covered with carnival diamante stones. Of course they could re-issue it – but at the moment I cannot find another online (except the ‘copies’). See my Blog on Butler & Wilson in the Notes on Manufacturers section.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It is in good condition – all stones presents and clasp works well. It has an original box in a black colour. It has a full Butler and Wilson cartouche inside the back of the head. It measures about 2 3/4 x 2 inches.
