DESCRIPTION: This is a fan shaped, Art Deco style, vintage brooch with a 925 silver mark. A black semicircle of ?resin is contained in a white metal frame set with marcasites and black stones.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This brooch is not original Art Deco but it is not contemporary either. It is very well made – the metal being marked 925. It is in a fan shape and the arms of the fan are set with marcasite stones and a small black stone (?) at the end. Probably an Art Deco revival piece.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is very good. It measures about 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches. It is marked 925 to indicate silver but as it does not have a British Hallmark I cannot sell it as such. It has a strong roll over catch which works well.
