DESCRIPTION: A black and yellow Bakelite dress clip from the Art Deco period – depicting a flower and leaf carved into the yellow Bakelite.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: dress clips were very popular from around the 1920-1950s and haven’t really been seen since. They can be worn clipped to a garment or accessory. They can also be worn on a chain or a thin chord round the neck like a pendant. This example has a very well carved yellow top part attached to a plain black part. Other items could be collected in these colours to form a set.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is good. It measures approx. 2 x 1 1/5th inches.
