DESCRIPTION: A row of vintage black and white glass beads. The beads are white glass with an overlay of black. Facets have been cut so the white glass shows through in a diamond pattern.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is an unusual row of beads that I have never had before. It consists of a row of white glass beads that are overlaid with black. The beads have then been faceted so that the white glass shows through the black in a diamond pattern. This is certainly not exact so it look as if it was hand done. Unsure of date but I suspect Art Deco period. Really interesting design!
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: It measures about 21 inches. It is shown on my more life sized dummy so you can see the length. I have knotted it and put another clasp on as it was not secure. I can see no signs of damage – no chips – but the faceting is not exact. This is not damage – just how it was made.
