ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Dress clips were very popular in the Art Deco period and were made of all manner of materials. They were very adaptable and could be worn in various ways. This one is made of a brown celluloid. The lower body has white markings. It has two painted green wings with black streaks. The black head has two red eyes. The metal clip part is made of brass and the clip works well. There is some writing on the underside of the clip – the impression of which you can see on the top. I could not photograph the writing or read it all but it does say Czechoslovakia.
