Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a 1920’s jabbo – or double ended long stick pin. It would have been made in Czechoslovakia. It has a long white metal pin connecting two green glass ends. These are green glass pieces mounted on ornate, white metal, diamante bases.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Double ended Jabbo pins – or stick pins – were popular in the 1920s period. They could be worn in the hats of the period – or to hold two parts of a garment together. They could also be worn purely as decoration in the beautiful clothes of the period. In the Deco period these items got much shorter and were worn in the cloche hats. This one does not screw – it pulls apart. The connection is quite tight and it does not fall out! This colour green was very popular at the time.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The pin measures about 5 inches end to end. The central pin part measures about 2 1/2 inches. It is in good condition. All the diamante stones are present. The photos are in pairs to show both sides.
