DESCRIPTION: This is an Art Deo period moulded green glass fruit, flowers and leaves dress clip with a marcasite trim on white metal.
ADITIONAL INFORMATION: This is an art Deco period dress clip. It has a moulded faux jade glass central stone with a marcasite trim. The glass stone depicts fruit, flowers and leaves – much as a jade stone would have done. It is on a white metal frame. We used to call this glass ‘Peking Glass’ but now know that this is not correct. Please see my Blog – Glossary/Peking Glass. I often wear my dress clips on a chain round my neck – please see picture!
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The clip measures approx. 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches. It is in good condition. The photo of the back is not a good one. The metal is white and in good condition. The spring works well. The glass is undamaged and the marcasites are all present.
