Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a set of dark green spacer bakelite bangles. There are some translucent yellowy patches that add interest.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: These bakelite bangles – from the 1930s – are quite thin and are meant to be worn with other bangles in between. In the third picture I am wearing them with some of my bangles. The bangles are dark green but have translucent patches of a yellowy colour. Each bangle is coloured differently. The bangles are flat on the sides that are next to other bangles and curved at the top.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The internal diameter is the standard 2 1/2 inches that bakelite bangles are generally made in. The depth is about 1/4 of an inch and they are about 1/8th across the top. The condition is generally good with a little wear from being next to other bangles. There are no scratches or chips.
