Description
DESCRIPTION: A pair of pre 1972 opaline glass drop earrings that were made up in a shop from older components from Czech. The opaline glass drops are fixed into Czech. drop fittings. These are affixed to a gold coloured bow top and supported by some lever back earrings fittings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I have been buying the contents of a shop that shut in 1972. This family shop used to buy older components from Czech. and make them up into their own jewellery styles. I bought a quantity of these long vintage glass drop earrings that had old decorated tops in a coated brass metal. I have the drops in opaline, red, green, blue, lilac and black. They have elaborate, bow tops – which of course could be taken off and the drop affixed the the lever back earring fittings. I also have a huge quantity of earrings in other shapes and styles – lots with an Egyptian Revival theme.
MEASUREMENT AND CONDITION: The total length top to bottom is 3 1/4 inches approx. (This includes the lever back fitting). The earrings are in good, aged condition. The glass is undamaged.
